Six undergrads presented their research
April 05, 2022
On April 4, Abigail, Akash, Aaron, Isabelle, Julia and Nikhita presented their research at the 2022 CURO Symposium, a campus-wide conference showcasing undergraduate research at UGA. I am very happy to have this group of excellent and energetic undergraduate students in my group! I have the pleasure of witnessing their growth in research.
Aaron, Isabelle, Julia, Nikhita (the experimental team) and Kaixiong. The experimental team worked closely with each other and under the direction of Shuang, our Ph.D. student in Genetics. They helped each other and learned from each other.
Abigail presented her research on the genetic prediction of blood lipids. She worked under the guidance of Yitang, a Ph.D. student in Genetics. It was amazing to witness Abigail mastering Python, R, and genetic data analysis within a year.
Akash worked with Yitang on Mendelian Randomization. He is a co-author on one of our manuscripts!
